OKYE is a magical place. It's a magical place for your child and a magical place for you as a parent because you know your child is in a loving and enriched environment. Our daughter went to OKYEA before graduating to another preschool and our experience with the staff and teachers was everything you would want.
When our daughter first went to OKYE, it was the first place she would be that wasn't a joke with us and to say I was nervous is an understatement. They heard my worries but also listened intently to my wants and desires for her, and went above and beyond to make her feel comfortable as well as us, her parents. Their curriculum is FUN! And well structured! They are methodical in their approach weekly and the kids were always creating, playing, building having a blast all while learning. They will give you updates throughout the day, they are in constant communication with you-- that was very important to us.
Our daughter IMO excelled so much in her time at OKYE. We could not have been happier with our experience there and the teachers and owners of the school will forever hold such a special place in our family's heart. If you're looking for a place where you never have anything to worry about, or are looking for a safe, loving, caring, and supportive environment you have come to the right place.

Our little boys absolutely loved Oak Knoll. They learned so much: new plant names, new songs, the stages of a butterfly as they got to nurture and observe caterpillars grow into cocoons into butterflies that they got to release at the end of the summer. There are just so many enriching activities at the school everyday. The children learn so much and do so much throughout the day. And the space is absolutely beautiful - a childhood dream. There is so much to climb on and play in, they just have a blast. We were so grateful to finally find a place that would support us our two working parent household and energetic children. Thank you, OKYE!

We absolutely love Oak Knoll Young Explorers! We moved to Oakland from the East Coast and toured a lot of childcare centers when we arrived. OKYE is hands-down the best decision we could have made.
Sarah, Diana and all of the teachers are warm and welcoming, and their communication is frequent and detailed - a priority for us. We get frequent pictures and messages, and it is clear to see our son having the time of his life each and every day.
OKYE is exceptionally well run and the curriculum is carefully tailored to each age group. The school leverages both Montessori and Reggio-emilia principals, and engages the kids in STEAM education, all wrapped up in a *FUN* day for the kiddos! Our son has significantly developed in our time at OKYE. Based on what we see with the older students, we feel confident in OKYE for our son's growth and development in the coming years.

Our family loves Oak Knoll Young Explorers! My daughter has been thriving in their care. They are in communication throughout the day and use the Brightwheel app so I know ALL the details- naps, potty, type of food, and everything in between. They are flexible, created, and invested in all the children. It feels like a family and I highly recommend it!!

We have had an incredible experience with Oak Knoll Young Explorers-- they go above and beyond to make sure to actually deliver the learning experience that they say they do. The owners and staff are heavily invested in each student/family and we really feel the love that goes into each days' activities. My kids always have a great time, come home happy and have lots of creative work to show for it! Highly recommend!
